eQuorum Releases ImageSite Plan Review; Web Technology Expedites Construction Plan Review

ATLANTA, GA July 22, 2003 — eQuorum Corporation today announced ImageSite® Plan Review, a Web-based product that automates the plan review process of engineering drawings submitted for permit approval. ImageSite Plan Review expedites the review process through quicker identification and resolution of code violations on permit plan sets.

ImageSite Plan Review lets local governments create multi-step workflows for the review and approval of construction plans. These workflows help ensure that steps in the review process are completed per established business rules and on schedule. Reports give government department staff or agency managers the current status of all plan approval projects, and help identify problem issues that must be resolved before approval is made.

ImageSite Plan Review works with existing permit systems to automate plan reviews. The software provides a shared online workspace for simultaneous reviews by all departments involved in the permit approval process. As permit code issues are identified, they are categorized and routed to the appropriate users for response and resolution. This significantly shortens the review and approval process since reviewers can see others’ issues and coordinate their responses.

ImageSite Plan Review works with both paper and electronic plan sets. Web-based electronic plan submission offers additional advantages to the review and approval process. ImageSite Plan Review enables Web-based plan submission as part of the permit request. Features such as online viewing of construction drawings and markup capabilities further automate the review process. Users do not need to install any CAD software on their computers as all work is done through a standard web browser.
